NEWS _ Kanavas To Drive At The Long Beach Grand Prix

San Clemente, CA (04.17.08) : Johnny Kanavas will be competing in the Formula Drift Team-Drift competition this weekend at the 2008 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. The waterfront event is one of the most prestigious racing events in the world and draws crowds that exceed 200,000 people.

Kanavas will be behind the wheel of one of the Team International Allstars, Circuit City Mazda MX-5 Drift Cars with teammates Kyle Mohan and Pat Mordaunt. For Johnny, this is a dream come true as he has been going to this event since the age of 8. “I’ve always had the dream of driving at Long Beach. This is a tremendous opportunity and I’m really looking forward to it… “, said Kanavas. Johnny K has been testing with the International Allstars team since 2007, and has been instrumental in the development of the Team Allstar Mazdas MX-5′s.

The show happens this weekend, with qualifying for the Formula D Team-Drift competition to be held on Saturday, April 18, with the main competition being held Sunday, April 19th during the Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend.
